It’s been too long Mi Amour…!
So let me start off by saying that 10 days without the internet really forced me to become a lot more efficient with my life and time. It was kind of refreshing actually! But now it’s back to the world of technology, which is both a curse and a blessing. It had to happen sometime though, and what better time than the day before classes start, blah….
So here’s what’s been going on with my life since I’ve been M.I.A.
I moved into a new apartment with Doneri, so now Yadumu Jewelry has an official work space. We no longer have to lug 30 pounds of supplies across campus between our 2 apartments just to get work done. It’s all in one!! Which is supremely convenient but that means twice the mess, so y’all won’t be seeing any pictures of the apartment until we get everything straightened up. ; )
Buuut… we had a photo shoot!!! It was amazing. We got to work with a lot of talented and crazy creative people.
The beautiful ladies of Strand Cafe put in werk and created some beautiful hairstyles, nails, and makeup for the shoot. Thank you to Raven for some bad ass nails, Kelly for the most glamourous makeup around, and most of all the owner of Strand Cafe and the flyest chica of them all Chris for making this (as well as the slammin’ hairstyles) all happen. We love each and everyone of y’all.
Shout out to the beautiful Abby Walters for these pictures. You were a joy to work with and we absolutely love ALL of your body of work. check it out by clicking on her name.
Look at those sexy lips!! Werk it Kourtney!
Monet, our little sun baby, you shown girl!
Also, shout out to Rashida for doing the videography and taking some awesome behind the scenes videos. And thank you thank you to our resident Ms. Jay, Brandon, for your invaluable aid as our creative director.
Also, (shh, it’s a secret) we have some potential new interns, Elizabeth and Nadiyah!!! Free Labour!!! Check ’em out.
Dude throwin up the deuces is Michael. He’s a crazy talented artist who we will have the pleasure of working with in the future.
What else is going on in this crazy life of mine is that I’m planning a fashion show! It’s a fundraiser for a retreat for black women and I’m really excited about bringing together a fabulous group of females for the cause.
This past week has been a crazy one, but not as crazy as the upcoming week will be, but I promise to keep posting regularly because I have a lot of exciting news to share! : D
